A Moment of Transparency...
To date I have been involved in founding, scaling and ultimately selling no less than five software and technology companies. That’s the good bit because there is a ‘but’.
Looking back over a career now spanning three decades, I realize that for a good chunk of that time, I was pulling up well short.
For nearly 20 years, I grappled with a nagging sense that I wasn't close to my best (sound familiar?). My mental well-being was being neglected, my physical health took a backseat, and yes, I admit, I overindulged — maybe more often than I should have. The result was a draining cycle of fatigue, stress, and consistently operating below my potential.
A decade ago, something clicked. I decided it was high time to embrace that elusive 'best version of myself' everyone always talks about – you’ve all seen and possibly read the books.
The result is a playbook I created that addresses every aspect of life. The goal was simple: pinpoint what "great" looks like and create a detailed playbook for achieving it.
Everything is defined within the playbook, but the great part is it evolves. What does a great morning look like, what does a great day, week, month, year and so on. How do you define and create your own ‘True North? How do you deal with negative thoughts or when you get triggered. How do you perform at your best in life and in work?
Everyone talks about work life balance but if you sort your life out and you live to a set of defined principles, behaviors, and habits, that you yourself set…the balance occurs naturally.
Adopting the playbook and making it an integral part of life and work has been a game changer, not just for me but for everyone I have coached. Without delving into specifics, let's just say the financial pressure for me has eased, and every other part of my life has been elevated in lockstep — health, mental clarity, relationships, and more. Living your life well is a catalyst for remarkable performance.
So, having very recently exited my latest tech venture and instead of cruising into retirement (I am not very good at Golf anyway), I decided I would share the playbook and to that end, I have created the ‘Amazing Playbook’ set of training courses. The results of which, as I say, have been phenomenal.
Feel free to reach out. I am happy to share details with you or if you would like me to present a course to your team or organization, I would be more than happy to do that also.
I do not charge for non-profit orgs or charities - very happy to present for free
Live well to perform at your best,
Mark
